LILYPAD

I suggested this place to my mum for her birthday as I was searching online for the best vegetarian friendly restaurants in Harrogate. I'm happy to say that Lilypad has now taken the No. 1 spot of our favourite places to eat! The food was so fresh tasting and we couldn't stop speaking about how the flavours of the sharing plates stayed with us all evening. We enjoyed how the individual dishes were served as they were made and everything came out piping hot. We were greeted by who I can assume was the owner on arrival who was very welcoming and hospitable without being over baring. He was great at suggesting beverages for us all and we felt very looked after. For a mid-week Wednesday evening meal out the place was well patroned! However there was a lovely relaxed vibe, which we think in part is due to Lilypad being a little further away from the town centre. Overall we had an absolutely brilliant first time at Lilypad and we can't wait to return to try even more of the menu (and tacos and burritos on Tuesdays!). You have yourself 3 new loyal customers.

Oh my goodness.... What an amazing restaurant. Really worth a visit when you are in Harrogate. Family run, staff so friendly & helpful with the menu. Especially if you are unsure on what to order. Crispy chicken skins were absolutely delicious as a light starter. Chicken wings, corn, pork skewers.... Lovely. Prawns, well they were delicious too. The owner took the time to come over as we left to chat & that is so lovely. Her son is the chef..... Amazing, just carry on doing what you are doing. Also enjoyed the unique cocktail menu, a bit different to the norm. Thank you for a wonderful food experience. Shame we don't have a restaurant like this at home

Amazing Place. Great atmosphere,mega relaxed,, fantastic choice of sharing plates and chilled, professional staff. Not like normal tapas ... portion sizes are very generous so only 2 each required! Had ribs, duck, corn and fennel curry ... not picking out one because they were all delicious. Range of cocktails unique and was good to try something different .... again tastebud delight. Next time we are anywhere remotely near this area we will be making a trip to Lilypad x

Excellent evening at the Lilypad. The food was super tasty and clean, healthy hearty portions that were delicious. The staff were amazing too. We definitely recommend and will be dining again.

My daughter and wife booked us a table here for my birthday. The whole place is really laid back and Roger, the guys looking after us, was super cool. The menu had some amazing veggie and vegan options and the food was just the best. If you are looking for amazing veggie/vegan food then this is definitely the place for you.

Always an absolute delight at Lilypad. The team / family are legends. Always friendly, fun and helpful. The food is amazing. Unlike anything in the area. You can tell the chef has travelled and taken inspiration from different cuisines (Indian, Thai, Japanese, Korean , Filipino, South American and more).

First time here today, couldn't have had better service. Great recommendations from the menu, we particularly enjoyed the belly pork, and the portion was big enough to take some home. Food was really tasty. Great atmosphere, great staff. We'll definitely be returning!

really lovely and unique food which is absolutely delicious,fairly priced and super lovely service
